JellyCalc (“we”, “us”) is a mobile app for planning and designing jelly-roll rugs. This policy explains what data the app handles, why, and what your choices are. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run your account, we show no ads, and we never sell your data.
Data we collect
- Account data. When you create an account we store your e-mail address and name. Sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication (a Google service) and supports e-mail, Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple. We never see or store your password for Google or Apple accounts.
- Your designs. Rug designs and calculations are stored on your device. If you are signed in, saved designs may also be synced to your account so you can restore them.
- Purchases. Subscriptions and purchases are processed entirely by Google Play or the App Store. We receive only a confirmation of your subscription status — we never touch or store card numbers or payment details.
- Crash reports. If the app crashes, technical information (device model, OS version, and what the app was doing) is sent to Sentry so we can fix the problem. Crash reports do not include your designs or messages.
What we don’t do
- No advertising and no ad tracking.
- No selling or renting of personal data to anyone, ever.
- No collection of data we don’t need to run the app.
How we use your data
We use your data to run your account, sync and restore your designs, confirm your subscription, answer support requests, and fix crashes. Our legal bases under the GDPR are performance of a contract (providing the app), our legitimate interest in keeping the app working and secure, and your consent where required.
Where your data lives
Account data is stored with Firebase (Google Cloud). Data is encrypted in transit. Google and Sentry act as our processors and are bound by their own data-processing agreements.
How long we keep it
Account data is kept while your account exists. You can delete your account in the app, or e-mail us and we will delete it — including synced designs — without undue delay.
Your rights (EU/GDPR)
If you are in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise any of these rights, e-mail us at support@jellycalc.com.
Children
JellyCalc is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the updated version here and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
